Doug Michael is the President and co-founder of The Antidote Method Inc., a premier fitness and wellness company dedicated to strength, mobility, and longevity-focused coaching. With 18 years of experience at the prestigious Axis Personal Trainers in Menlo Park, Doug specializes in intelligent, results-driven training tailored for high-performing individuals.
He holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sports Medicine from Dakota Wesleyan University and began his career with internships in collegiate strength and conditioning at Dakota Wesleyan, South Dakota State University, and Frappier Acceleration.
Doug’s personal philosophy is simple and foundational: joint health above all else. He believes joint integrity is the cornerstone of all effective movement, athletic performance, and long-term physical independence. His training seamlessly integrates Animal Flow, Functional Range Conditioning, Functional Release, and custom strength programming.
Doug is also a certified Cancer Exercise Specialist and holds Training for Warriors Level 1 & 2 certifications.
A lifelong student of movement, Doug began weight training in the 7th grade after being inspired by early-morning ESPN fitness programming. Today, as a middle-aged coach, he’s passionate about helping others stay strong, mobile, and resilient as they age — not just for now, but for decades to come.
He co-founded The Antidote Method Inc. in 2025 to offer concierge-level, longevity-based coaching for those ready to invest in their future health.
